The Idea

After many years of teaching in Schools, gaining the necessary experience, consulting with Head Teachers and P.E Co-Ordinators, the P.E Cube has been born.

The P.E Cube is a progressive and development framework that focuses on the physical and sporting development of Primary School children in all Key Stages EYFS, KS1 and 2

It focuses on 6 key areas, meeting all national curriculum requirements.  A fully inclusive child centred model where the development of each child is at the heart of everything.

SC Education are the sole company to deliver this exciting new brand of P.E Teaching.  We feel it’s a unique product that is simple but extremely effective in aiding with the development of a young child in a number of key areas.

“When I feel tired, I just think about how great it will feel when I finally reach my goal”

The P.E Cube

Master the Technique

Children will become masters of a range of techniques by using different parts of their body and equipment.  The key to this being constant repetition in various different practices.

Teach the Skills

Children will be taught how to perfect their skills when there are obstacles or challenges put in front of them.  This will be through individual or team based scenarios.

Build the Athleticism

Children will be fully active from the beginning to the end in order to ensure they get the absolute most out of every lesson.  They will perform a number of fundamental movements and complete a series of on-going fitness tests . They will appreciate the importance of keeping fit and living a healthy lifestyle

Learn the Game

Children will become good tacticians and decision makers. They will be given challenging scenarios that require them to make the right choices in order to achieve individual and team success.

Challenge the Individual

Children will be set regular individual and collective challenges and also encouraged to set their own personal targets.  By doing this it gives ownership of the lesson and allows children to self-teach and evaluate their own performance.

Develop the Child

Looking to not only develop the physical attributes of each child but also the psychological side.  Children will be encouraged to not be afraid of making mistakes, to have a positive attitude, communicate and interact with each other and take on the role of team leaders.
